Accessibility
The standard the site aims for, what is known to fall short, and how to tell us.

The standard
The site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Every page is checked with automated tests for structure, names, and colour contrast before it goes live.
Everything can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus ring and a link to skip to the main content. Nothing moves that cannot be stopped, and the site follows your device's reduced motion setting.
Videos
Every build's summary, near the top, is a text alternative to its videos: it makes sense without playing anything. Videos use the platform's own captions. A build says when one of its videos has none.
The play button for each video is a real button, named for the video it plays.
Known gaps
The YouTube and TikTok players are made by those platforms, and the site cannot change how accessible they are. Each video has a plain link to watch it on the platform instead.
Captions are written by the video's creator or the platform, and their quality varies.
Reporting a problem
If something on the site is hard to use, email support@rootinghome.com with the page and what went wrong. You get a reply within a few working days, and the information you need in a form that works for you.
